After a long old wait, our 69th feature interview comes in the form of a goalkeeper currently living his best life across the Atlantic.
Jonathan Bond has had to wait patiently for a good crack at first-team football. Spells with Watford and Reading promised plenty of potential, but as we’ve heard so many times on this very platform, goalkeeping isn’t always as straightforward as one might wish.
Now, following a flirtation with West Brom, Bondy is LA Galaxy’s outright No1. Recognition has duly been dished out, awards have been presented and a 12-save session in May’s victory over San Jose Earthquakes means the media – and, dare we say it, Premier League clubs – are very much on Bond alert.
