This week’s guest is a goalkeeper who enjoyed the first chunk of his career as a Blade with Sheffield United.
Whilst at Brammall Lane he became the youngest goalkeeper to ever appear for the club and earned call-ups to the England U18, 20 and 21 sides, the latter coming not too long after a spell of eight clean sheets in nine games across three months in 2013.
Now very much Hull City’s No1 in the Championship, George Long joins GKU to talk through his early life between the sticks, how he tackles the psychological side of the game and future aspirations of playing for England.
