Everywhere you go, always take De Gea with you…

It’s been a while since that chant was delivered with such verve by fans of Manchester United. Alas, David de Gea is showing signs of a return to the David de Gea who won four Player of the Year awards in the space of five years between 2013 and 2018.

What a weekend it was for the Spaniard at the London Stadium, but let’s not forget the part Lukasz Fabianski played in the game, too. An incredible performance from the Pole, despite being on the losing side, was mirrored in Hugo Lloris’s heroics for Spurs in their 3-0 defeat to Chelsea.

Over In the EFL, Luke Southwood is making the most of his chance at Reading, Scott Flinders is rolling back the years as Cheltenham’s No1 and Ross Doohan bagged his first start in English football following a loan move from Celtic to Tranmere.
