gku podcast between the sticks 106

With little more than 24 hours of the summer transfer window remaining, it was a quick in and out for GKU this morning.

Rich, as you’re about to hear, was hot on his heels to help dot potential i’s and cross possible t’s… Or do absolutely nothing at all.

Much like houses, transfers can depend on one individual catalysing the chain.

Yet, naturally, it did not stop us reviewing the weekend’s action in goalkeeping. David De Gea is just starting to show signs of the form which saw him regularly branded as the No1 goalkeeper in world football again – his double stop from Romain Saiss helping Manchester United to a 1-0 victory at Wolves.

Should goalkeepers be so honest when they feel they’ve made an error? We debate Robert Sanchez’ comments after Brighton’s defeat to Everton.

GK PI is back for a second run with Stoke’s Josef Bursik the subject this week. And Harry Burgoyne literally leapt to the defence of his Plymouth teammates in teaching Gillingham Assistant Boss Paul Raynor a thing or two about core strength.
